And dailyflavorhub is my little corner of the internet!
I launched dailyflavorhub in June 2019 while I was still working full‑time as a graphic designer in Asheville, NC. I’d been scribbling recipe ideas on napkins during lunch breaks and realized I needed a place to share them. The first post was a simple tomato‑basil focaccia I’d made for a friend’s birthday, and I posted it straight from my kitchen table. Within a year the site had attracted 20,000 monthly readers, and by March 2023 we crossed the 150,000‑visitor mark.
Over the past few years the site has turned into a small community of home cooks who love quick, seasonal meals. In 2021 I added a weekly “5‑Minute Meal” video series, which now averages 12,000 views per episode. I also introduced a printable “Meal‑Plan Calendar” that has been downloaded over 8,000 times. The most rewarding part is seeing readers tag me on Instagram with photos of their own versions of the dishes – it feels like we’re cooking together, even when we’re miles apart.
When I’m not behind the camera or testing a new recipe, I’m out hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains with my husband, Mark, and our two kids, Lily (7) and Noah (5). Our evenings usually end with a slice of sourdough bread I baked that day and a record of classic jazz spinning on the turntable. I’m a firm believer that good food is best enjoyed with good company, and I hope dailyflavorhub helps you create those moments in your own kitchen.
